An on-duty Toronto school-bus driver has been charged after he refused to provide a breath sample, police said.After receiving a tip that a school-bus driver had been drinking, police said they stopped a 58-year-old man driving a Laidlaw school bus with 39 children on board.

Sure, the sun in Dubrovnik always seems to be shining, the beer is cheap and the walled city is stunning, but where can a weary traveller get a hummus wrap or smoothie? To the dismay of some of their clamshell confreres, two enterprising councillors have set up a website to help the public track controversial votes.Councillors Denzil Minnan-Wong (Ward 34, Don Valley East) and Karen Stintz say that www.torontocitycouncil.ca is being paid for out of their office budgets.

TTC ordered to call out all streetcar, bus stops

Toronto Transit Commission drivers must start announcing all bus and streetcar stops within 30 days, the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario ruled yesterday.The decision, which the TTC will not appeal, is a second victory for blind Toronto lawyer David Lepofsky, who, two years ago, obtained a similar ruling that required the TTC to announce subway stops.
