New club wins fight for liquor licence

The champagne is back on ice at Circa nightclub following a favourable ruling regarding the venue's liquor licence. The 55,000-square-foot Toronto entertainment venue will be allowed to serve alcohol when it opens for business in September, Madam Justice Sandra Chapnik of the Ontario Superior Court ruled yesterday, striking down an appeal from the registrar of the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario.

This was the scene at a recent edition of Film Fort, a bimonthly screening of local cinematic creations, which is bringing some of the best works its shown so far to the Art Gallery of Mississauga this weekend as part of the My Mississauga Festival.
